            – Filipiniana

                   This typically refers to a dedicated area or collection within a library that focuses specifically on materials related to the Philippines and                     its culture. This section is designed to house a diverse range of resources, including books locally published by academic and                                       research institutions, government agencies, societies, commercial publishers and others. 

          – Foreign

                    The CHE Library plays a crucial role in broadening the academic scope of students and faculty by providing access to foreign                                        collections in home economics, family studies, nutrition, food science, and design. These resources provide a comprehensive                                      view of global trends, practices, and research, enriching the learning experience at the university. For the most specific and up-to-                            date information on available foreign collections, it’s recommended to directly contact the library staff or visit the library in person.

          – Reserve

                   The Reserve materials are high-demand resources- typically required course readings to ensure those items are highly accessible to                         students. Reserve items usually can be checked-out overnight.

Serials

               The serials section refers to an area or collection within the library that is dedicated to housing and managing serial publications. Serials                   are publications issued in a series or on a regular basis, typically at predetermined intervals, such as daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or                   annually. Serials can include a wide range of materials such as periodicals, serial publications and government documents.

 

Archives and Records 

              This section plays a crucial role in preserving and providing access to information, whether it be for academic, historical, or administrative                         purposes. It houses the institutional assets of the Library and  College such as  manuscripts, letters, photographs, maps, official records, and                   other primary sources. 

 

Theses and Dissertations 

              This section is a specialized area within a library that is dedicated to the collection, organization, and dissemination of academic theses and                               dissertations. These documents are typically produced by undergraduate, graduate students as a requirement for the completion of their degrees, such             as bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral. It plays a crucial role in preserving and providing access to the intellectual output of the institution’s students. It                     serves as a valuable resource for researchers, scholars, and the academic community as a whole. 

Caters to the information and resource needs of the patrons that can take place whether in person, on the telephone, or virtually via email, instant messaging, social media, or video conferencing.
